Community Guidelines
These Community Guidelines explain the conduct and content rules for clownwall.
Humor, unserious posts, satire, sarcasm, light roasts, memes, casual arguments, and other harmless funny content are allowed. Isolated jokes or one-time unserious posts will not be treated as violations merely because another person dislikes the joke or disagrees with the post.
Content or behavior is not allowed when it becomes harmful, threatening, exploitative, abusive, or intentionally targeted. This includes repeated targeting of a person, coordinated harassment, sustained personal attacks, and posts or replies made for the purpose of intimidating, shaming, or overwhelming a specific person.
Harassment And Abuse
Targeted abuse, coordinated harassment, sustained personal attacks, and coordinated pile-ons are prohibited.
This includes:
- repeated unwanted insults or attacks
- encouraging others to harass a person
- wishing harm on a person
- mocking a person based on protected or sensitive traits
- using replies, mentions, honks, or reports to intimidate or overwhelm a person
Accounts involved in targeted harassment may be suspended or permanently banned without prior warning.
Threats And Violence
Threats, encouragement, praise, or coordination of violence are prohibited.
Content must not:
- threaten physical harm
- encourage self-harm or suicide
- praise violent attacks
- provide instructions for real-world harm
- target people or groups for violence
If immediate risk is identified, clownwall may take urgent action or preserve information where legally appropriate.
Hate And Dehumanization
Attacks against people or groups based on protected or sensitive traits are prohibited. Protected or sensitive traits include:
- race
- ethnicity
- caste
- national origin
- religion
- sex
- gender
- gender identity
- sexual orientation
- disability
- serious disease
- age
Slurs, dehumanizing language, and calls for exclusion or harm are not allowed.
Privacy And Personal Information
Private personal information must not be posted without permission.
This includes:
- home addresses
- private phone numbers
- private email addresses
- government IDs
- financial information
- private medical information
- precise live location
- login credentials
- private images or messages
clownwall does not request precise browser location for feed relevance. The service must not be used to expose another person's location.
Sexual Content And Exploitation
The following content is prohibited:
- sexual content involving minors
- non-consensual intimate content
- threats to share intimate content
- sexual exploitation
- sexual harassment
- explicit sexual content used to target or shame a person
Content appearing to involve child sexual exploitation may be removed, preserved, and reported where required.
Explicit Adult And Pornographic Content
clownwall is not an adult content platform. Pornographic or sexually explicit content is not allowed.
This applies to images, GIFs, text, and any other media. Content that sexualizes adults in explicit ways may be removed regardless of whether consenting adults are involved. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or permanent ban.
Illegal Content And Dangerous Activity
clownwall must not be used to:
- sell illegal goods or services
- coordinate crime
- distribute malware
- conduct fraud
- share stolen credentials
- evade law enforcement
- encourage dangerous real-world behavior
Spam And Platform Manipulation
The following behavior is prohibited:
- mass account creation
- manipulation of reactions, honks, replies, or follows
- scraping or harvesting accounts without permission
- repetitive spam
- automation that overwhelms feeds or reports
- scams
- rate-limit evasion
Impersonation
Misleading impersonation is prohibited.
Parody and fan accounts may be allowed if clearly labeled and not misleading.
Copyright And Intellectual Property
Content must not be posted unless the user has the rights or permission needed to post it.
This includes:
- copying someone else's original work and posting it as original
- removing watermarks, credits, or attribution from content
- reproducing copyrighted text, images, GIFs, or other media without permission
clownwall does not control what users post. Claims involving copyrighted work or original content may be sent to [email protected] with a description of the original work, a link to the allegedly infringing post, and confirmation that the sender is the rights holder or authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder. Valid claims may result in content removal.
Accounts that repeatedly post content violating others' rights may be suspended or permanently banned.
Media And GIF Rules
Uploaded images must follow the same rules as text posts.
Unsafe files, malware, and content posted without required rights are prohibited.
GIFs may be selected through the built-in GIF picker. Direct GIF and video uploads are not currently supported.
Reporting
Posts and replies may be reported through the app.
Reports should be used for safety, moderation, privacy, abuse, spam, or rule violations. Reports must not be used to harass users or punish harmless disagreement.
Moderation Actions
Depending on context, clownwall may:
- remove content
- hide or limit content
- dismiss reports
- ban accounts
- delete accounts
- reserve usernames
- preserve records for abuse, security, audit, or legal reasons
Only authorized reviewers can access moderation and safety review tools. Access to sensitive safety information is limited and logged.
Account Deletion
Deleted accounts are masked. Deleted usernames cannot be reclaimed. Deleted email addresses may be reused for a new account.
Some thread structure may be preserved after deletion to maintain context for replies by other users.
Appeals
Moderation review requests may be sent to [email protected] with:
- username
- the action being reviewed
- the reason review is requested
- relevant context
Short Version
Funny and unserious posts are allowed. Harmful conduct, private-information exposure, spam, exploitation, and repeated targeted abuse are not allowed.
